Here is what the wonderful, California (USA) based, Missy Neal had to say for herself:

"I have been a collector all my life and started scrapping just about 6 years ago. This hobby quickly grew into an obsession and has expanded to stamping, papercrafts, and altered art. 

By day I am an Engineering Manager and by night I am an avid crafter. I am currently a proud Design Team member for the Scrapbook Magazine, Fiber Scraps, and ScrapGenie. I also can be found at my blog."

Here's what Lu had to say for herself: "Let's see. I have been scrapbooking for over two years. I do it digi and paper. My style is graphic, artsy and a lot FUNKY! What I love about scrapbooking is it allows me to combine my love of paper with my love of photography. I am married and a mother to three. I work outside the home as a graphic designer and I started a photography business called Candid Art Photography.

I design for Hambly Screen Prints and I create digital kits for oScraps. My blog is Believe Big, my photography website is Candid Art Photography and my photoblog is Candidly Speaking. "

Carole's work is so touchable - full of texture and very 3 Dimensional and vivid with colour. Everytime we look at her work, we find something new and inspiring. My name is Carole Janson and I live in Queensland, Australia. I am married and have two children, which most of my inspriation for scrapbooking is based on. I have been Scrapbooking for about 4 years, and I absolutely love the craft.

I wouldn't actually say I have any particular style, but I do love to 3D, and embellish.My layouts are never without texture, and I like people to get the feeling of being able to touch them. When they look at my layouts several times they generally see something different everytime. I love to experiment with new and different ideas and enjoy plenty of colour when creating my new projects.

I have been very fortunate to be involved with two manufacturer's Design Teams, Karen Foster Designs and Bo Bunny Press, and have also just joined the DT for Scrapping Angels here in Australia, which is very exciting. Anyone who’s familiar with Ali Edwards knows her style – a popular blend of clean graphics with fresh color combinations, warm photography, and Ali’s signature handwritten journaling. The sketch is based on Ali's "Today You" mini album and is so versatile.

 
 
   
 

 

Ali Edwards is a fantastic Life Artist who is also the author of A Designer's Eye For Scrapbooking and A Designer's Eye For Scrapbooking With Patterned Paper.  Ali can be found at her Blog and in the Creating Keepsakes Magazine. 

My name for scrapbookers/creative people who are into celebrating life through art: life artist! "Scrapbooker" just doesn't cut it - it is so much more than that name implies. life artist it is.

So who is a life artist? Do you take photos of your family, yourself, your environment, your world? Do you tell stories? Do you bring them all together onto paper, into your computer, onto a canvas (or some other cool concoction)? Do you create art journals with all kinds of wonderfully interesting pieces of your life and thoughts and emotions? Do you celebrate your life through your art?

a little extra from our Guest Sketch Artist!

Here is the little extra Pencil lines sketch we posted about on Sunday - It is a Card sketch from the wonderful Nicole aka Queengeek. We want to thank Nicole for her creative energy and fabby artwork and be sure we'll be seeing Nicole again on this blog!

We will often be posting a little extra - cards, tags, tiny little projects - just something to keep you inspired throughout the week. Next time we'll give you a heads up to save your scraps from your layout for the card as then its so easy to make up a card or tag etc right after you finish your layout and then you will slowly build up a stash of made cards perfect for every occasion.

Also we have some fabby news that's going to be announced on Saturday and our Guest Sketch Artist for Sunday is going to wow you! so don't forget to check us out on Saturday and Sunday and don't forget to share your beautiful artwork with us!
