Please give a huge Pencil Line's welcome to the lovely Cathy Zielske who is joining us this week as our Guest Design Team member. Cathy has given us this fabby double page sketch to work with.
Cathy Zielske is the creative director for Simple Scrapbooks magazine. Zielske helps guide the direction of the magazine as well as writes articles and designs layouts to educate scrapbookers on design theory and photography so they can create savvy pages with better flow and balance. She also oversees all brand-related design issues for Simples creative department, working on a variety of the magazines ancillary products.
Zielske's love of photography was the impetus for discovering scrapbooking. Following an inquisitive visit to a scrapbook store where she picked up a copy of Simple Scrapbooks, Zielske soon discovered that she could combine her passions of writing, design and photography into one glorious hobby. Zielske submitted a handful of pages to Simple Scrapbooks, and has been working for them ever since. She instantly connected to the idea of recording what matters most, through simple pages, or simple theme albums, and not letting the piles of photos decide how and when she scrapbooks.
Beginning her career as a journalist, Zielske developed a passion for design and moved into art direction. For 17 years she has worked as a graphic designer and six years ago, founded her own freelance design company. A native of Seattle, Wash., Zielske lives in St. Paul, Minn., with her husband and two children. Cathy has written two books, Clean&Simple Scrapbooking, and Clean&Simple Scrapbooking: The Sequel, both available at www.simplescrapbooksmag.com. And you can find out more about Cathy at her blog cathyzielske.typepad.com

This is a hard one to convert to 12x 12, but will try my best. The DT designs are so totally different, wow.
I wish I was better at printing out these tiny photos.
