Please give a huge Pencil Line's welcome to the talented Scott Cotner-Young  who is joining us this week as our Guest Design Team member. Anam provided this sketch for this week's Challenge.

Here's what Scott had to say: I started scrapping in 2002 when my Partner, Mark and I adopted our son, Ethan, who is the subject of most of my layouts.  I immediately became obsessed with scrapbooking and set out to find a way to share my talent with others. Being a stay at home Dad gives me the opportunity to explore my options and creativity, in between message boards, pre-school and Oprah of course.  It’s now been over 4 years and I’m even more addicted than ever. I still haven’t found a way to make scrapbooking pay the bills, but I’m sure having fun trying.

 I am a charter member of the USA National Scrapbooking Association and on the Design Teams of Cropper’s Cottage and Imagination Project! My work has been published in Legacy magazine and my first publication was the COVER of the August 2006 edition of Scrapbook Trends Magazine.

I am honoured to be asked to guest on Pencil Lines."

Announcing our 1st new DT member

Firstly may I thank each and everyone of you for your amazing entries. We were all stunned at the 166 entries we received, and thank you so much for all wanting to be a part of Pencil Lines.

I have made a decision, a very difficult one i might add, and I couldnt stop at just one new member!! I have decided to make an annoucement from 9pm GMT , where I will announce a new member on the hour, and I am not telling you how many new members we have, you will have to check to see if your name is on the list ! This just adds to all the excitement for me and you :) so here is our 1st new Pencil Lines Design Team Member:

Favourite Layout from Sketch #36

A huge thanks to everyone who shared their beautiful artowrk with us for Tessa Ann Watté's sketch - The design team have picked their favourite layout and the Junkitz sponsored prize goes to Jolene's layout "She Said Shh"

A few words from Jolene "I love checking out pencil lines  as they bring such a huge variety of sketching styles to us all.  When time is short is inspiration is low I always turn to sketches as a starting point, and the fact that pencil lines has got some example LO's to get the brain turning is just brilliant!!

The Design Team Contest

Firstly we would like to thank the 166 people who submitted their complete and wonderful entries for our design team position. yes, 166 people!! We are so amazed and humbled by everyone's enthusiasm for Pencil Lines and combining that with the level of artwork submitted is making our decision so tough.

We will be making our final decision by Friday and will be contact the new Design Team Member then. Once they have accepted, an annoucement will be made on Saturday welcoming them.

Please give a big Pencil Line's welcome to the lovely Andrea Gomoll who is joining us this week as our Guest Design Team member and also provided this great Sketch for this week's Challenge.

Here's what Andrea had to say: "Hi everbody! My name is Andrea Gomoll, I'm 25 years old and I'm  living in a small town near Berlin/Germany together with my fiancée René. I'm working as a Media-Designer for Digital & Print-Media and - here's the surprising part - I LOVE SCRAPBOOKING ;)

I have always been into crafty things like rubberstamping, cardmaking,  Altered Books etc. and started Scrapbooking in 2002 - I am hooked ever since. I also love all sort of Mixed Media- & Altered Art - anything with paper, paint & ink actually! When it comes to Scrapbooking and crafting I don't stick to any rules and I just love to try new things, styles, supplies and techniques. Over the last year I was lucky to get the chance to be published in a couple of international Magazines and I'm working for the Scrap-N-Fonts Designteam as well as for the german Kit-Club ScrapFever and for the European Shop Scrap-Italia.

Since December 2006 I'm also Publisher & Co-Editor of the first German Scrapbook-Magazine - "Scrap Art Zine" - which really is a dream come true for me, since I've been playing with this idea for so long - now my friend Jana and me, we finally made it become reality. I just love the fact that scrapbooking gives me a chance to connect to people from all over the world by sharing the same passion and I'm very happy to have the opportunity to provide you with this sketch and layout!

Junkitz Rak#1 "Spirit of Pencil Lines"

The whole Design Team loved this layout so much when it was submitted for the reader's gallery this week that we decided to give Louise the first Junkitz RAK of the month.

Here's What Louise had to say... "I was slow to catch on to the whole blog scene, but since I have started mine, it too has become a bit of an obsession... quite impressive really seeing as I could never maintain a diary as I was growing up! 

*hangs head in shame* I didn't start doing the Pencil Line sketches until # 22, but since becoming a Sunday night sketch addict I have worked my way through the previous sketches... This LO was created to put into my BOM. I wanted to create a LO based on a habit/routine... and apart from the hum drum of doing the school run, the only routine I have is on pencil lines night!!!

Seriously, even my DH knows that at 8:00 pm I am 'in the zone' and there is little or no point in trying to communicate... even the boys must sense that Sunday night is special as they always seem to go to bed with no fuss.

I have seen so many inspiring LOs from the DT, guest designers and the readers gallery, that Pencil Lines is my first port of call when the creative juices stop flowing... So a big thank you to everyone involved in making this the bestest blog around..."

We want to take this time aswell to remind everyone that the rest of June is a Junkitz month as we will be having a variety of RAKs given out - the next one will be for the Junkitz Favourite layout for Sketch #36 - so get your layouts into us by first thing tomorrow (Monday).
