Please give a huge Pencil Line's welcome to the fabulous Ikuko Kinuta who is joining us this week as our Guest Design Team member and who also provided this great Sketch for this week's Challenge.
Here's what Ikuko had to say: "Hi everyone!
I am totally surprised to have been invited to become a guest Design Team member at Pencil Line. This is a dream come true for me and I want to thank Pencil Line for this cool opportunity.
My name is Ikuko Kinuta.I've been married to my husband, Shinya, for 6 years, and a Mom to a 4-year-old son, Issa. I am 32 years old.
I came to know Scrapbooking 4 years ago through a parenthood magazine, when we lived in Wisconsin for a short period of time. Ever since then I became obsessed with this art craft, and started to show symptoms if I am away from paper and glue for more than 3 days... (Hence the name "Scrapaholic!" of my blog.)
I became a stay-at-home Mom since I had Issa, but Scrapbooking totally opened my world beyond boundaries. That is so unbelievable. When we returned to Tokyo from Wisconsin, I wanted to spread this cool art craft and opened my blog and workshops for a start. Scrapbooking was still a minor craft back then. Now, I teach 6 classes a month, write a column as a contributing editor for Creating Keepsakes Japan. I even had a chance to be Ali Edwards (Hi Ali! Are you reading this?) interpreter at the very first CKU Japan (yes, there was a CKU in TOKYO!) which was a great experience. So you see, Scrapbooking has brought so much fun and wonderful opportunities and I really thank everyone that made it possible.
Observing your daily life and finding artistic themes is the beauty of Scrapbooking. Appreciate those little happy moments in everyday life. Celebrate otherwise forgotten small happiness. That is my Scrapbooking. This layout reflects these my thoughts and feelings. Usually Issa's a grouch in the morning but this particular morning he awoke with a grin on his face. And how that made my day sunny bright... that is what I wanted to celebrate in this layout.
I want to thank people at Pencil Lines again for this great opportunity. THANK YOU!!! And I am looking forward to seeing your wonderful layouts!"
Everyone at Pencil Lines would like to wish Ikuko a very happy birthday for tomorrow !
