Please give a big Pencil Line's welcome to the talented Judi VanValkinburgh who is joining us this week as our Guest Design Team member and Judi also provided this sketch for this week's Challenge.
Here's a few words from Judi: "I have always had a slightly twisted obsession with paper, and I have been journaling and collecting memorabilia since childhood. One fine day, the planets aligned, and I discovered there were others "out there" who made scrapbooking an actual hobby and some who even made it a career. Call me late to the epiphany...
I'm surrounded by daily inspiration for my art-my main victims being my fiance Charlie and our very own personal Brady Bunch. Amanda 19, Brittany 17, Ethan 12, Eddie 5 and our 3 year old identical twin daughters Caroline & Charlotte. We all live in Niagara Falls, NY, which is another frequent target of my camera lens. Not to forget, our household is rounded out with two resident hedgehogs, Oliver & Harriet.
I'm thrilled to be Guest "Sketchie" here at Pencil Lines. I also design for my local scrap store, Maya Road, Purple Onion Designs, Story of My Own kit club, October Afternoon and I freelance for BasicGrey. Some of my creations have been featured in Simple Scrapbooks, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, Cards, Paper Trends, Memory Makers and several idea books, including the upcoming PageMaps book by Becky Fleck.
When time allows, my other interests include gardening, reading, yoga, hiking and blogging. You may also find me painting the living room walls a shocking shade of red for no particular reason at all."
You can see more of Judi's beautiful work on her blog"how judi of you".
Also for the next few weeks we are so pleased to have Trish with us full time in the Design Team as Annie is away on vacation.
and here is this week's gorgeous artwork:
Thank you to everyone for sharing your artwork with us and for sending it to us by email. It is all fantastic to see and the Design Team love looking at them even if it means choosing a winner gets hard. Check back on Wednesday for our Favourite Layout for August.

Another great sketch !!! Off to do this one tonight!

I have just discovered your blog, how amazing. I mainly do cards, but have been dipping my toe into the warm waters of scrapping so finding your sketch challenge site is fantastic.
I have decided to add it to my blog.
I look forward to many more visits to this blog.

Snow is a title I thought I would never use for a picture taken at our own home. I had the chance to finally use the winter papers I had, lol!
