Please give a big Pencil Lines welcome to this weeks guest designer Ingunn Markiewicz, who also provided the team with this weeks sketch.
This is what Ingunn has to say:
I am so honoured to be a guest DT - I have Pencil Lines in my RSS feed so I can check it out as soon as it is updated! I love sketches because they let you ground your layouts in good designs but then allow you to go crazy and do your own thing once the important elements are down - Pencil Lines is such a good example of this; the design team members are so good at putting their own spin on the sketches!
I've been scrapbooking for a year and a half now and, this might sound a little obsessive and mushy, I love this hobby so much. Almost every day I'll look at a layout in a magazine or online and just have this intense feeling of joy for this much-more-than-paper-and-glue thing we do. I started out in Norway, but when I moved to Washington State last year, it really took off for me...a combination of a lot of spare time and an abundance of cheap (well, cheap compared to Norway!) supplies have left me absolutely obsessed.
My most-scrapped subjects are my husband and our dog, our various travels, and I just got a big batch of heritage photos from my grandmother that I am very excited to get started on.
Can't wait to see what you guys make! :D
This week we are so honoured to be introducing two new members to the Pencil Lines team.
Janine Langer
I am 30 years old and live in Solingen, between Düsseldorf and Cologne in Germany, with my husband René and our cute little 4-year-old monster Gabriel. I started digiscrapping in 2005, but only from time to time. I missed using my hands, so I always knew that I will 'paper scrap' in the future and in January 2007 I finally started to scrap with paper. I still try to integrate some digital elements now and then (e.g. printing elements on transparency), but scrapping with paper is the thing I love. My favorite subject to scrapbook is definitively my family. I love to capture memories - especially our everyday life - trusting that our son will love it when he is old enough to appreciate it.
I've met so much beautiful and talented ladies since I started scrapping and I love to be part of such a great community and now also be a part of this wonderful Design Team. Thank you! :)
Hi everyone! My name is Yuko Motoyama from Japan and am wife to Hisashi (was a rugby player and is a
workaholic businessman) and mom to Seita (4 years old) and Saki (1 and 8 month now) currently living
in Chiba with my mom and two cuties (I mean Dogs) Shizu Mu-chan and Pekingese Pekin.
I have been in love of everything related to crafts since I was so little and been scrapbooking almost 2
years. I was a film buyer before kids and now I am truly in love with photography (my baby is SONY alpha),reading, writing, knitting, cooking, sewing and....shopping! I just started my blog called Scrappin' Yuko in May and am working on it right now;) I am so grateful and excited to join in Pencil Lines Design Team and unbelievably happy to share our works with you!
We would also like to take this opportunity to say au revoir to Kimmy who will be staying on as a Honurable Member of Pencil Lines, and a fond farewell to Trish who is leaving us to concentrate on other avenues. All these ladies have given us a year of amazing layouts and artwork and we are all proud to have worked with each of them. We wish you all the success in your future creative journeys
