Sketch 65

This is the last sketch for 2007, please give a warm Pencil Lines welcome to Russian scrapbooker Olga Lvova.

Olga also provided this weeks sketch. Here is what Olga had to say:Olga_hs

Hi, I am so excited to be invited to be a guest designer for this site!!My name is Olga. I am 26 years old and I  live in Saint-Petersburg, in Russia. I discovered scrapbooking  in January 2007 and I started scrapping in March. Now scrapbooking takes almost all my spare time.  I don't have children therefore my source of inspiration is my husband, family and friends. Unfortunately this kind of creative work is not widespread in Russia and we don't have specialty shops here. So we use whatever we have - packing paper, wallpaper, napkins, stickers and other stuff, which can be bought in a sewing shop. But now i've got an opportunity to buy materials in America and creative process quickened.

Scrapbooking for me is a way to express myself. I don't have a particular style. I love to try new techniques and ideas. I've never used sketches but I really enjoy the sketches I see here, in Pencil Lines. So I think that I'll start using your sketches.

A big thank's to my friends Marina who helped me to write in English and Julia who helped me with the photo! And a big thank you to Pencil Lines  for letting me be a part of your blog

Sketch 64

Please give a warm welcome this Christmas weekend to Korin Sutherland, our guest designer. Korin Me2619071_2 also supplied this weeks sketch.

Here is what Korin had to say:

Hi, I'm Korin. I live in a very small town in Amish country PA.  I'm the wife to a very tolerant man (love ya babe) and homeschool mother to three VERY rowdy boys.  90% of the time, these important guys are the subjects of my pages, so when I find the opportunity to add fru-fru I go for it!!  I enjoy being a girly-girl :).

I've been scrapping and stamping obsessively, errr--I mean passionately for almost 5 years.  It's interesting to look back and see how my style (and talent) has evolved.  I love to incorporate stamping into my artwork--it's so fun and versatile!  My love for stamping fueled my newest endeavor; designing my own line of stamps and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps was born.

I want to thank Pencil Lines for this awesome opportunity!  Love the site!!  You can see more of Korin's artwork on her blog

Sketch 63

Welcome this weeks guest designer at Pencil Lines, the wonderful Katherine Tveiteras from Norway. Katherine also provided this very versatile sketch for us this week.

Here's what Katherine had to say:

Headshot_katherine_3What an honor to contribute to this awesome site! I was thrilled to be asked. My name is Kathrine, I’m 26 years old and live in Norway with my hubby and two wonderful sons.

I started scrapbooking about two and a half years ago because I wanted to make my son’s album something special. I soon became addicted, and now scrapbooking is a creative outlet where besides preserving memories I get to play with thoughts and ideas together with paper. I love it! My pages often tell double stories and I love including little ephemeras that symbolizes the story not explicitly told.

You can see more of Katherines work at her blog

Pattihs_4 Here is what Patizia had to say:

My name is Patrizia Manni, called Patty, I live in Tuscany,in the middle of the Italy, with my DH and my two children. I started scrapbooking in the 2002, and now I’m totality addict. I’m so honored to be here in Pencil Lines blog because I’m a fan of all the amazing talented girls here. I’m very proud to be designer and collaborator for HOBBY DI CARTA (the first producer of papers and material for scrapbooking completely “Italian style”. Hobby di carta has born in the 2005, from the passion of Sabrina Cavalleri , she has had the will and the courage to undertake this trip when scrapbooking in Italy was really at the beginning. I have a blog where I share my works and my life . I hope you enjoy my sketch, I can’t wait to see what do you do with it.

Sketch 61

This weeks guest is well know on both sides of the pond for her amazing online workshops, and we areShimellepic_4 really pleased to have her with us this week.

So please give a big Pencil Lines welcome to Shimelle Laine, who also provided this weeks sketch.

Shimelle Laine works as an 'inspirational' designer for ScrapBook Inspirations magazine, the UK's best-selling scrapbook magazine. An early supporter of scrapping yourself, Shimelle was inducted into the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame in 2001 and began leading workshops on both sides of the Atlantic. Her series of mixed-media art, Guide Words, went on to become a book and her first online class in 2004. Since then, her website has allowed her to work with thousands of creative women throughout the world with classes on art journaling, documenting holidays and traditions and writing the story of the life you want to lead. You can see more of Shimelle's work and workshops on her blog.
