Wow, can you actually believe that it has been 2 years since our first sketch was posted. 2 years later we are still going strong, and have had so many amazing guest artists to inspire us all. This week is extra special as we have a new designer added to the Pencil Lines team, and we have not just ONE guest designer but a whole team. Please give a huge birthday welcome to the girls from One Little Word (OLW). This weeks sketch has been provided by our very own Anna Bowkis, the founder of Pencil Lines.
One Little Word, also known as OLW, is a challenge blog that was created in May of 2007. It was inspired by Ali Edwards personal challenge to create a word to represent your upcoming year. I thought about how powerful words truly can be so I created a challenge blog to reflect on and celebrate the power of WORDS. The whole team came together each putting our own personal touches into OLW. Every other week the Creative Team brings forth awesome pages and projects focused on One Little Word to inspire. We encourage our players, also known as, Wordsters, to take the plunge and create along with us. It has been an amazing ride and we are always seeing the power of words all around us.
We are so excited to join Pencil Lines! Our challenge blogs fit so perfectly together, a sketch and a word to inspire.
Please take the time to visit our fellow challengers at OLW and see the amazing work these girls do every fortnight!

We are so excited to introduce our newest designer to the Pencil Lines team. Please give a big welcome to Michelle Filo. Michelle has been a regular contributor to the Readers Gallery, and amazes the team every week with her layouts. We are so happy that Michelle said YES , when we asked her to join the team.
Here's what Michelle has to say:
My name is Michelle Filo and I am a simple Brazilian girl who gets to call Australia home. Me and hubby migrated to Australia in 2000, where we settled and had two beautiful boys, Mateus(2003) & Lucas(2006). I wish I could live to take pictures of them, but I decided the SAHM thing is not for me and I am back at work. I have to say scrapbooking is my favourite thing to do when I am not cuddling the family and being superwoman.
Scrapbooking - A friend gave me some stationary for my birthday in Dec'04, it was from a Scrapbooking store. I was mesmerized by all the papers, buttons, ribbons and other bits and pieces. It was love at first sight. I spent the next six months madly creating gifts to give to my family on my trip to Brazil. I confess I got all "scrapped out" (wow, was that really possible?). I left my supplies aside until 2007. After my new love of digital scrapbooking and hybrid projects got me to venture into the world of glue and real buttons again. From that to back to paper scrapping was a natural progression, after all, who can resist all the yummy new products?
I am on the creative team of Fancy Pants Designs, team member of the Digital Artist Magazine and team member and designer for the Little Dreamer Designs.
Lastly, but no means least, I would like to personally thank all the design team and guest designers, past and present for all the inspiration and hardwork they put in week after week. To our wonderful sponsors for the donations they make to our readers.
I look forward to another amazing year with Pencil Lines and look forward to receiving all your layouts for the readers gallery.
With love
Anna and The Pencil Lines Team xx
