Hi, my name is Birgit Koopsen and I feel honored that I was asked to be a guest designer here at Pencil lines!! Thanks a lot Annie!!

I am together with my husband Erik for almost 23 years now. Together we have 3 beautiful children (2 girls and a boy) and we are living in a little village in the North of the

Netherlands

. I started scrapbooking 6 years ago and have been addicted ever since! I love scrapbooking because it’s not only a way to preserve my family’s history but also a creative outlet!

In 2004 I started organizing crops at my home, soon to be followed by teaching workshops and doing demonstrations for craft/scrapbook stores and a Dutch wholesales company.

I had the honor of being a member of several DT’s and have had my work published in various international scrapbook magazines and idea books. By now I have my own business and am I working as a freelance designer/teacher for f.i. Creatief met Foto’s (a Dutch magazine). Besides that I’m the co-owner of The Creative Buzz who offer creative workshops in the North of the

Netherlands

.

I would say my style is graphic with a freestyle touch. I love to use a lot of fun details and lots of color. I´m in love with transparencies! If you like to see more of my work you can visit my blog.

"Hi, my name is Sharon Ong. I'm from Singapore (Hi Sasha!!!!) and I'm really honoured to be invited to be a guest here.  I get to have fun designing for Purple Onion Designs and Laine's Papeterie (our LSS) where I also teach classes.  And best of all, after a fun day at work, I get to come home to my sweet Baboo and two critters.  Life doesn't get any better than this.

I love making a 'mess' on my layouts but am secretly jealous of scrappers who can create layouts that are simple and elegant yet totally stunning - something I totally can't do no matter how hard I try!"

Here's what Roree had to say:

My name is Roree Rumph. I am a stay-at-home mom, and I live in Birmingham, Alabama  with my husband David, and our two daughters, Grace and Harper. I am primarily a cardmaker, but when Annie asked me to play along and make a layout using a Pencil Lines sketch, I jumped at the chance.  I just love working with sketches!
 
I actually stumbled into this hobby by accident.  I was shopping for some birthday invitations, and I just couldn't find what I was looking for.  I decided to make my own.  I was hooked from that moment on.  That led me to all forms of papercrafting, and I've been at it for 4 years now.  I love using a mix of colors, patterns, and texture, and it definitely shows in my work.  Sewing is one of my favorite techniques.  I actually learned to sew because of paper crafting.  You can find some sort of hand stitching or machine sewing on just about all of my projects.
I have been lucky enough to work on several manufacturer and kit club design teams, and I have been published in many major magazines.

Mary MacAskill lives in Alberta, Canada with her sweet hubby Derrick and even sweeter little girl Sadie, who just so happens to be the subject of most of her pages! She's been scrapbooking since 2002 and is fortunate to have been published in various magazines including Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, Scrapbook Trends, Papercrafts, Cards, and Memory Makers! She currently designs for Banana Frog, an acrylic stamp company based in the UK. Mary describes her scrapbook style as linear (generally!), colourful, and detail-oriented with an emphasis on the photos. You can find more of her work on her blog: Very Mary

Here is what "az" had to say:

Hello everyone this is az from Japan.  I am really
really happy and so grateful for having me here. My life is so busy and packed with my day job, my
hubby who loves motorcycles and 3 years old daughter!  It was about a year and a half ago when i fell in
love with scrapbooking.  the first intention was
simply to sort our family pictures out but soon
enough I am addicted (familiar story to you too?)

After that it is almost my routine to crop at night
with a cup of warm tea.   For me it is much easier to concentrate on things  during the night time. My current dream is scrapbooking with my daughter together:D I enjoy making pages both in vivid and bold colors also in classic monotone.  It's all depends on the picture I am focusing on.
