Hello Readers,

September we are back to some normality! We look forward to a month of new sketches and sponsors. This month we are sponsored by EAD. They will be sponsoring the Readers Gallery and the deisgn team, later in the month.

Without further ado, lets give a big Pencil Lines welcome to this weeks guest designer,Irene Tan.Irene also provided this weeks sketch. We loved her sketch so much we are posting it as is!

Here's what Irene had to say:

Hi! I’m Irene from Malaysia. I live with a loving and supportive family.

I have started scrapping in 2005 but had some issues that held me back in 2006. With that, I think in total I’ve been scrapping for about  for 2.5 to 3 years. It all began when I visited the States in 2004 -2005. Back then, not many would know what is scrapbooking in Malaysia. Even right now, Malaysia is still considered at a very young stage in this field.

Scrapbooking has been a therapeutic measure as well as a kind of  documention of my life and it’s surrounding. It’s always not easy to tell another person how you feel about her or him and what you see in them but all this can be easily express through pictures and scrapping. This is the beauty that I’ve found in scrapbooking..

I am currently designing for a few retailers, kit clubs, manufacturers (Clear Scraps, Tim Holtz .com and Queen Kat Designs) and an e-zine named Scrapbook News and Reviews.  I maintain a blog called Scrapperlicious where I share all my creativity, tips and techniques. I also blog some exclusive projects for Scrapbooking Supplies R Us on their blog named “The Crop Spot”. Occasionally, I also give workshops locally here and abroad. Thank you very much to Pencil Lines for having me here. It is an honour!
