Here's what Melissa had to say:
Hi I’m Melissa and I currently work for Kaisercraft as their Creative Director. Apart from the crazy hectic deadlines, its fun being a part of their design team and getting to play with all the new products in advance. I have been with the company for over 4 years since the introduction of scrapbooking products into their range. It has been exciting to watch it grow in popularity throughout the industry. With three gorgeous little girls and a wonderful husband, like many others, I also have a love photography and began scrapbooking after my first child over 10 years ago. On a dare (from the LSS owner where I teach) entered a Masters competition and was chosen as one of the Scrapbooking Memories Masters in 2008 and since taught at expos, conventions and workshops both in Australia and overseas. Recently just returned from South Africa which would probably have been the highlight in my career so far. Scrapbooking is fun in itself but it’s the friendships that are formed with all the people you get to meet that makes it so special. Probably what Im most proud of though, are the regular Crop For a Cause workshops I have regularly held over the past 3 years. These have raised thousands of dollars for people in “need” in the local/overseas communities. There is nothing better than being able to scrap, chat and help out someone at the same time. …OK I lie there is chocolate and coffee and without them I just don’t function….
“I totally believe that when we scrapbook there are no right and wrongs. It’s your story that is being told and preserved so you are the one that needs to be happy with the end result”
Totally honoured to have been asked to be a part of Pencil Lines this month and can’t wait to see what you all do with the sketch and products.
Love
Mel
